Ingrededients
1 cup all-purpose flour
¾ cup Cream Of Wheat
½ cup brown sugar
½ tsp salt
2½ tsp baking powder
1 egg
¾ cup milk or water (you can also substitute almond milk)
â…“ cup melted butter (you can also use vegetable oil)
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Lightly grease your cake pan, baking dish, or muffin pan. (You can also use parchment paper if you’d like.)
In a large bowl, combine the flour, Cream Of Wheat, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
In a large measuring cup, whisk together the eggs, milk, and melted butter or oil.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry. Mix until just combined; do not over mix. Pour batter into the prepared pan.
Bake for about 15-20 minutes. Insert a toothpick or cake tester into the center of the bread. If it comes out clean, remove from the heat and let it cool a bit. When ready to eat, serve with a small pad of butter and a drizzle of real maple syrup.
