Ingredients & Directions


1 c Yellow cornmeal
1/4 c Flour
1 1/2 ts Baking powder
1/2 ts Salt
1 Egg; beaten
3/4 c Milk
6 Green onion; minced,

Optional Shredded cheese

In a medium bowl, combine cornmeal, flour, baking powder and salt; mix
well. Add the egg, milk and onion; stir just until mixed.

In a deep-fat fryer or electric skillet, heat oil to 365?F.

Drop batter by teaspoons into oil. Fry 2 to 2-1/2 minutes or until golden
brown. Drain on paper towels. Serve warm.
