Hot chocolate is perhaps the most iconic warm winter beverage, and there are plenty of ways to kick it up a notch. This version adds tequila blanco and St. Germain, an elderflower liquor that enhances the chocolate surprisingly well. Don’t forget to toast the marshmallows!
Ingredients
5 oz. (about 2/3 cup) hot chocolate (from a mix is fine!)
1 oz. (2 Tbsp.) tequila blanco
1/2 oz. (1 Tbsp.) St-Germain
Marshmallows (preferably toasted), for garnish
Directions
Stir together the ingredients, and garnish:
Pour hot chocolate into a mug. Stir in tequila and St-Germain. Top with marshmallows.
TIP: If you don’t have marshmallows around, use a dollop of whipped cream instead.
