1 1/2 c Pancake or ready-mixed flour
1 tb Sugar
1 c Milk
2 tb Melted shortening
1 Egg, well beaten

Sift prepared flour, measure, and sift with sugar. Combine egg, milk,
and shortening. Add dry ingredients and beat until smooth. Bake on
